Fifty kilometres north of Kohima.

Tseminyu Town sits on a ridge in the Rengma country of central Nagaland. Dimapur is the nearest airport and railhead, about three hours away by road; Kohima is about ninety minutes.

  • By air and rail Fly or take the train to Dimapur. Shared taxis and buses run to Kohima and Tseminyu; the office can arrange a pick-up for groups.
  • By road From Kohima, take the road north through Tsiepama towards Tseminyu. The Zunpha office is in Ward 9, in the town.
  • Permits Visitors from outside India need a Protected Area Permit for Nagaland; Indian citizens from other states need an Inner Line Permit. Both are issued online. Write to us if you need a supporting letter.
  • Sendenyu The community reserve is a short drive north of the town. Visits are arranged through the village, so let us know in advance.
